Ok. That is one part of the Tokyo culture that I really don't have to experience. I mean. Seriously, the latecomers actually look like they still want to get on the train!!!
On an unrelated note, Earth Day's coming up (April 22). Here are some ideas of how to celebrate. :)

I experienced this. I got pushed over onto my luggage and into another passenger, who acted like nothing happened.
talk about being like sardines in a can. haha. so crazy!
HAHAHA!!! Yeah, that's really typical in Japan, especially in the large cities! It's during the morning rush hour, I'd say between 7:30am - 8:30am. Just when you think there's no more room, another 10 people try to push their way in, and the station attendants (wearing white gloves) are there to push you! Of course you could catch the next train, but who really wants to wait another 5 minutes? It's definitly something you gotta experience at least one during your trip!
